The Fringe Radio
Network was conceived in the late fall of 2010 by
radio host, Bruce Collins (The Clown Prince of Doom)
and his producer, the legendary network engineer and
east coast radio production manager, Rick Hendrickson
(the man who built Spreaker) whom we affectionately
refer to as "Producer Rick". FRN went live on
November 1st, 2011. The first members/shows on
the network were: The Bruce Collins Show, Acceleration
Radio with LA Marzulli and IRON SHOW LIVE with
me! Many others soon followed.
In the fall of 2014,
Producer Rick put me in charge of managing the shows
on network and by the summer of 2016 I had stepped in
several times to do production/engineering for some of
the LIVE shows on the network, a task previously and
exclusively performed by Producer Rick. By the
fall of 2016, Producer Rick wanted to move on to other
things and myself and partner Brandon Schwin purchased
the network from Producer Rick in October of
2016. This purchase included the website,
streaming servers and a fancy custom Spreaker account
with a multi-year contract. Brandon had left by
the beginning of 2017 to pursue other interests
leaving me in charge of FRN once again.
Since that time, many shows have joined the FRN family
and we continue to grow day by day. Some have
said that FRN is a christian network but while there
are many fringe-christian shows on the network, there
are also other non-christian fringe shows here as
well. This because the Fringe Radio Network is
not a christian network but rather, a FRINGE
network. We have a few rules: We do not
allow shows that actively promote devil worship, the
occult or the New Age Movement. However, we do
allow shows that have guests that travel in those
areas. As a fringe christian, I have a
responsibility to God but I also do not believe in
abject censorship of fringe topics. I don't like
rules and I don't like to impose rules on
others. So we keep the rules to a bare
minimum. Once in a while we will see content on
the network that we think is dangerous or
hateful. It is a rare thing but we have removed
content on occasion.
All of that said; the
Fringe Radio Network can be a wonderful source of
learning and edification but it can also be a
dangerous place for some. So use caution.
Many of the views and opinions found on the Fringe
Radio Network are not the views and opinions of the
Fringe Radio Network; it's members or advertisers and
sponsors and are not the views and opinions of me.....
