After a long 2026 harvest season at the vineyard, we are back with a live show where we start off by describing a bit about the winemaking process and what it's like in our brand new state of the art facility.  We then move on to our favorite topic, Egypt, and the mysteries out in the Fayoum desert that we have been actively investigating the last few trips out there.The "Oldest Road" or "First Road", a stone construct that crosses miles of desert, bridging the space between a massive outcrop of basalt, and the shores of an ancient lake connected to the Nile river. How long ago was this road built? It seems likely that it was made for the purpose of moving quarried basalt stones to the water for transport to construction projects elsewhere in ancient Egypt... but when was it made? And why did the ancient builders decide to make part of it from petrified wood?
